and the green still feels like home
A boat, a home, a heart and a crown are tied together with weak threads. Each object is a folded photogram connected with an opaque screen, strung onto the wire each object hangs from. The photograms consist of bone, dandelions and photographs of my family from childhood. This is a narrative on childhood, on a slow burn to a slow fade, and the ending of things. This piece was installed in Jenkins at East Carolina University.

[boat: IF RESOLVE IS VENEER | WE ARE BOTH EXHAUSTED. I WAS]
[heart: FEELING BURNT OUT. I HAVE | ALWAYS SPENT TOO MUCH OF MY TIME]
[house: TRYING MUCH TOO HARD TO GET ALONG | AND]
[crown: I WANTED TO KNOW THAT | EVEN THE COLD WATER WILL BURN]
